Reverse description Centrally displayed is a large crowned double-headed imperial eagle with wings spread and talons extended, rendered in the bold style typical of Holy Roman Empire coinage of the late 16th century. The eagle's breast bears a shield with the imperial orb. The surrounding legend in Latin records the titles of Emperor Rudolf II, with the date 1578 incorporated into the legend. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner border.
