Reverse description The entire field is filled with an eleven-line Latin inscription recording biographical details of the deceased Electress Magdalena Sibylla, noting her birth in 1586 and her death on 12 February 1659 in Dresden at the age of 72, and her interment at Freiberg on 12 April. The surrounding border legend reads '·SYMBOLUM·' followed by additional text in the outer rim. The composition is purely epigraphic, with no figural elements, characteristic of Saxon memorial thalers of the mid-seventeenth century.
