| 正面描述 | Armored equestrian figure of Saint George on horseback, prancing to the right, thrusting a lance downward to slay a writhing dragon in the lower field. The saint is depicted in full plate armor with a plumed helmet, the horse rendered with detailed musculature. The scene is set within a beaded inner circle, with the abbreviated names of the three joint counts forming the circular legend in the outer field. |

Mansfeld was among the most productive silver-mining regions in sixteenth-century Germany, and the counts who shared its administration had both the ore and the motive to strike thalers aggressively. This piece was issued under the co-rule of three members of the Mansfeld-Vorderort line — a partitioned inheritance arrangement that forced joint coinage, which is why multi-count issues dominate the Mansfeld series far more than single-ruler types. The county's mines had already been famous for a century by this point; Martin Luther's father leased smelting operations there, a fact the counts were never reluctant to exploit for prestige.
Tornau 358a distinguishes this variety within a closely related cluster of dies used across the 1568–1571 window.
