| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two armored half-length busts of co-ruling dukes facing one another across the field, both clad in Renaissance plate armor, clasping hands at center in a gesture of fraternal accord. The composition is framed by a beaded inner circle, with the peripheral Latin legend LANTG: THVRI: ET: MAR: MISN: reading around the circumference, interrupted by four heraldic shields at the cardinal points: the Thuringian lion at upper right, the Meissen lion at upper left, the Thuringian striped shield at left, and a gothic-arched escutcheon containing a double-headed eagle at the base. The overall design reflects the characteristic multi-ruler joint coinage convention of the Ernestinian Wettin line. |
