Reverse description Elaborately quartered coat of arms of the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Eisenach, incorporating the multiple heraldic charges of the Ernestine Wettin line, including rampant lions, barry fields, and other dynastic quarterings, surmounted by a complex crest of multiple helmets with mantling and crests including the Thuringian lion and electoral Saxony devices. The shield is flanked by decorative scrollwork and supported by elaborate Renaissance strapwork. The circular Latin legend surrounding the composition reads LANT.THVR.E.MAR.MIS.MONE.IMPREI., referencing the titles of Landgrave of Thuringia, Margrave of Meissen, and the imperial coinage privilege, within a beaded border.
