The motto TV DOMINE SPES MEA appears in the field. The encircling Latin legend reads MONETA NOVA ARGENTEA RHENSIVM ELECTOR, identifying this as a new silver coin of the Rhenish Elector. The whole is enclosed within a beaded border with an outer milled rim.
