| Obverse description | Draped and armored bust of Johann Aloys I, Prince of Öttingen-Spielberg, facing right, rendered in high relief in the Baroque style. The effigy displays an elaborately decorated cuirass with ornamental scrollwork at the shoulder, and the sitter wears a powdered wig with long curled locks. A mintmaster's initial 'M' appears at the lower edge of the truncation. The encircling Latin legend reads: IOAN · ALOYS · I · PRINC · DE · ETTING · OMINGEN, separated by pellets, set within a plain inner border and a prominent milled outer rim. |
