Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Duke Johann Ulrich of Krummau, depicted with a prominent ruff collar and mantle, with a short beard and mustache rendered in fine relief. The effigy is boldly executed in the high Baroque style typical of German-speaking minting workshops of the early seventeenth century. A beaded inner border frames the composition. The circumferential Latin legend reads IO : VDAL : D : G : DVX CRV : EKEN : PRINCS HG, identifying the issuer by name and title. Two small ornamental stops flank the legend in the upper field.
