Obverse description Two facing busts of Johann Christian and Johann Seyfried, both draped and armored, jugate and confronted at center, with the date 1653 inscribed above between the busts. The circular legend surrounds the effigies, identifying the two princes by name and title. The coin's field is plain, with a beaded inner border separating the legend from the central design. The artistic style is characteristic of mid-17th century German Baroque portraiture on coinage.
