Below the shield hangs a pendant cross of the Légion d'honneur. The date 1807 appears in the lower exergue beneath the shield. The circular legend CASSA THALER and 1. BERGISCHER is distributed around the periphery. The entire composition is executed in a bold, heraldic style consistent with Napoleonic-era German coinage. |
