| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Joachim Murat, Grand Duke of Berg, facing right, with short curly hair and light stubble, rendered in a neoclassical style. The portrait is positioned centrally within a broad, unadorned field, with strong relief and fine detail in the facial features. The circular legend reads IOACHIM GROSHERZOG VON BERG around the upper periphery. The engraver's initials T·S appear in the lower exergue, attributed to Theodor Stettner.
