Obverse description Half-length effigy of Margrave Joachim II Hector facing right, clad in an ermine-trimmed cape, holding a scepter raised over his right shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the detailed Renaissance style typical of mid-16th-century German coinage. The figure is contained within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the coin. The overall composition conveys the ruler's electoral dignity and authority.
