| Obverse description | Bust of Bishop Jakob Ernst von Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn facing right, depicted in full ecclesiastical vestments including a mozzetta with a prominent pectoral cross. The portrait is rendered in high relief with finely detailed flowing wig. The circular Latin legend surrounding the effigy reads IAC ERN D G EPS OLOMVC DVXS R I PCES, identifying the bishop as by the grace of God Bishop of Olomouc and Prince of the Holy Roman Empire. The field is smooth and slightly concave, typical of high-quality milled thaler coinage of the period. |
