Obverse description Crowned and armored three-quarter bust of Ferdinand I facing right, depicted in elaborate plate armor with ornate detailing, holding a scepter in his right hand. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Renaissance style characteristic of the Hall mint. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, separated from the inner field by a beaded border and an outer rope-like decorative rim.

(Translation: Ferdinand, by the grace of God King of the Romans, in Hungary, Bohemia, Dalmatia, Croatia, etc ...)
Reverse description Displayed imperial double-headed eagle in high relief, wings spread, with a crowned shield on its breast bearing the arms of the Hall mint. The eagle is finely detailed with feathering rendered in the characteristic Tyrolean style. A circular Latin legend surrounds the eagle within a beaded inner border and an outer rope-like decorative rim, continuing the titulature from the obverse.
