Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Hieronymus von Colloredo, Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg, depicted wearing ecclesiastical robes with a lace cravat and his hair arranged in the powdered, rolled style fashionable in the late 18th century. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail on the drapery and wig. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading from the lower left and continuing around the upper field. The overall composition reflects the refined Baroque-influenced medallic style characteristic of the Salzburg Mint under engraver Franz Matzenkopf II.
