| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays a large ornate heraldic achievement comprising the quartered arms of the Teutonic Order, supported by a lion and an eagle, surmounted by an elaborate crowned helm with mantling. The date 1575 is divided across the upper field flanking the crest. A surrounding legend in Latin reads along the inner border of the coin, identifying the administrator Heinrich von Bobenhausen. The entire composition is rendered in the bold, deeply-struck relief characteristic of late sixteenth-century German hammered thalers, with a beaded inner border and a milled outer rim. |
