The saint is depicted facing slightly forward within a plain inner circle. The date 1600 (or 1601) appears divided on either side of the figure within the inner circle. The circumferential Latin motto legend HONESTUM PRO PATRIA runs around the border within a beaded outer rim, translating as 'Honorable for the Fatherland.'
