Obverse lettering HEINRIC. E. GOT(T)HEL(F). GVI(L)HEL(M). F(R)(A)(T).
Reverse description Saint George, depicted in full armour and mounted on a rearing horse facing left, thrusts his lance downward to slay the dragon writhing beneath the horse's hooves; the composition fills the central field with dynamic movement. The saint's billowing drapery and the horse's elaborate caparison are rendered in high relief consistent with Eisleben mint workmanship of the period. A beaded inner circle frames the central device, with the Latin legend distributed in three segments around the periphery. The overall design follows the standard Mansfeld county reverse type used across multiple co-regency thalers of the late sixteenth century.
