正面描述 Within a raised rhomboid border on this klippe flan, a Hohenzollern eagle displayed stands upon a domed pedestal or globe set atop a rectangular plinth, its wings spread and head turned to the right. The eagle holds in its beak a laurel branch tied with a ribbon. The initials G, W, M, Z, and B are arranged in the field around the eagle, abbreviating the margrave's titles (Georg Wilhelm Markgraf Zu Brandenburg), with the date 1726 inscribed in the lower field below the plinth. Small pellet ornaments appear in the lower corners of the border.

附加信息

George William ruled Brandenburg-Bayreuth from 1712 until his death in 1726, making this a final-year issue struck under a margrave whose reign was largely defined by financial strain and dependence on Prussian goodwill. The Hohenzollern cadet lines of Franconia — Ansbach and Bayreuth both — operated in the shadow of their Brandenburg-Prussia cousins throughout the early eighteenth century, their taler coinage serving practical fiscal functions rather than any assertion of independent weight.

Dav GT II#2927 places this squarely within the German Taler series; the GT designation reflects Davenport's classification of German talers specifically, distinct from his broader European series numbering.
