| Obverse description | Elaborately ornate quartered royal arms on a baroque cartouche-style shield, surmounted by a crown. The four quarters display the arms of England (lions passant guardant), France (fleurs-de-lis), Ireland (harp), and Hanover (horse), arranged in the heraldic tradition of George II. The circular legend reads in Latin abbreviation, identifying the monarch as King of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg, and Arch-Treasurer of the Holy Roman Empire, with the date 1752 integrated into the legend. |
