Obverse description Central field displays the quartered royal arms of Great Britain under an electoral crown, supported on the dexter side by a crowned lion rampant and on the sinister side by a chained unicorn rampant. Below the shield, a ribbon scroll bears the motto DIEU ET MON DROIT, with a Tudor rose at center. The date is divided by the crown at the top of the coin. A Latin legend encircles the entire composition.
