Reverse description A floriated cross divides the field into four quarters, with the quartered Hohenzollern arms displayed in the central shield at the intersection. A small heraldic shield of arms occupies each of the four angles formed by the cross. The date is divided by the mintmaster's symbol at the top of the design. A continuous Latin legend, taken from Romans 8:31 ('If God be for us, who can be against us'), runs along the outer rim, interrupted by the date numerals.
