| Obverse description | Half-length armoured effigy of George Frederick I, Margrave of Brandenburg and Duke of Silesia, facing right, rendered in fine detail with elaborately engraved plate armour, pauldrons, and a ruff collar visible at the neck. The figure is depicted from the waist up, conveying regal martial authority in the Renaissance style typical of German princely coinage of the late sixteenth century. A beaded inner circle frames the portrait, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery, partially divided across the upper and lower fields. |
