附加信息	Baden-Durlach's 1622 thaler was struck in the shadow of military catastrophe. George Frederick had led the Protestant Union forces at the Battle of Wimpfen in May 1622, where his army was routed by Tilly and Córdoba — in part due to the accidental explosion of his own powder wagons. He lost his margraviate to Catholic League occupation shortly after, forcing him into exile. This coin was almost certainly struck before or immediately around that collapse, making it a product of a functioning mint that would soon go silent.
