Beschrijving keerzijde A floriated cross divides the field into four quarters, each containing a small heraldic shield bearing regional arms associated with the Hohenzollern margraves of Brandenburg-Franconia. The Brandenburg eagle appears on the central shield at the intersection of the cross. The encircling Latin legend, drawn from Romans 8:31, reads as a devotional motto of the ruling house. The overall design is bold and heraldically precise, typical of the Franconian Thaler coinage of the early sixteenth century.

Aanvullende informatie

Brandenburg-Franconia occupied an awkward administrative position within the Holy Roman Empire — a Hohenzollern cadet branch holding the Franconian Burggraviate while the senior Berlin line held Electoral dignity. George and Albert II ruled jointly under the fraternal co-regency arrangements common to the dynasty, a governance model that frequently produced parallel coinages and complicated succession disputes. This thaler was struck across nearly a decade of joint rule, meaning die variations across the Schrötter range 673–734 are substantial and attributing individual pieces to specific years within that window remains genuinely difficult.
