Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of Friedrich Wilhelm IV, King of Prussia, rendered in high relief with finely detailed portraiture characteristic of mid-19th century German coinage. The royal effigy is surrounded by a circular legend reading FRIEDR.WILHELM IV KOENIG V.PREUSSEN, with the Berlin mint mark A positioned to the right of the truncation. An inner beaded border frames the design, separating the effigy from the peripheral legend.
