正面描述 Draped military bust of King Frederick William III of Prussia in left profile, wearing a high-collared uniform adorned with decorative epaulettes and a neck order, set within an open laurel wreath. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine neoclassical detail, the hair loosely curled. No peripheral legend; the wreath frames the effigy in the unlettered field.

附加信息

This copper piece is a pattern strike produced in connection with Frederick William III's visit to the Berlin Mint in 1821 — one of several trial pieces struck in non-standard metals to demonstrate the new coinage machinery and dies to the king. Such royal mint visits were treated as technical showcases, and pattern strikings in copper, silver, and occasionally gold were prepared specifically for the occasion, most destined for presentation rather than circulation.

The Kahnt/Davenport and AKS references each catalogue distinct variants of this issue, distinguished primarily by edge treatment and striking quality.
