| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing bust of Frederick William III, King of Prussia, rendered in high relief with finely engraved naturalistic detail to the hair. The effigy is unadorned and neoclassical in character, with the king depicted in civilian dress with a plain truncation. The circular legend reads FRIEDR. WILHELM III KOENIG V. PREUSSEN, disposed around the portrait and separated from the toothed border by a continuous inner beaded ring. The mint mark A, denoting the Berlin Mint, appears at the base of the coin below the truncation. |

| Reverse description | The elaborately quartered Royal Prussian coat of arms, featuring multiple heraldic charges including eagles, griffins, lions, and sceptres across the numerous quarterings, occupies the central field and is surmounted by a large royal crown. The shield is flanked on either side by symmetrical sprays of laurel and oak branches tied at the base, with decorative chain-link ornaments and an eagle displayed at the lower centre. The circular legend EIN THALER · XIV · EINE · F · M · reads around the upper periphery, denoting the denomination and fineness standard (fourteen to the fine mark). The date 1830 is inscribed in large numerals across the lower field, with a Hohenzollern eagle and the Order of the Black Eagle star serving as punctuation within the wreath composition. The whole design is enclosed by a beaded border. |
