Beschrijving keerzijde The crowned arms of Nassau occupy the central field, displaying the Nassau lion rampant on a horizontally lined shield, flanked by an ornate mantle or drapery and surmounted by a princely crown with cross finial. A laurel branch to the left and an olive branch to the right frame the shield below. The circular legend ZEHN EINE FEINE MARK runs around the periphery, with the date 1812 appearing in the lower exergue flanked by the mint mark C. and the assayer's initial T. The overall composition is executed in a refined Neoclassical engraving style.

Aanvullende informatie

Nassau's brief Thalers of 1810–1812 exist because Frederick William was scrambling to establish credible monetary infrastructure for a duchy that had only been consolidated into its modern form in 1806, when Napoleon reorganized the Rhineland states through the Confederation of the Rhine. The references span three Isenbeck numbers against a single KM type, reflecting documented die varieties across the three-year run rather than separate issues — the obverse punches show measurable differences that specialists use to sequence production.
