| Beschrijving keerzijde | Large complex achievement of twenty-four quartered heraldic arms, arranged in a grid pattern with a central escutcheon bearing the Hohenzollern scepters, representing the various territories and dignities held by the Elector of Brandenburg. The mint officials' initials 'A' and 'B' appear to the left and right within the field, flanking the shield, while the date '1643' is displayed at the top of the arms, divided by the uppermost shield border. Frederick William — the future "Great Elector" — was still consolidating his hold on Brandenburg-Prussia during these years, having inherited a territory ravaged and occupied by foreign armies mid-Thirty Years' War. The 1643–1645 date range reflects not variant years but the span over which this die pairing remained in active use at the mint, a common practice when coin demand was inconsistent and dies were expensive.
The KM#212.2 designation distinguishes this from the closely related 212.1 variety by minor die differences in the collar treatment.
