The composite arms incorporate the devices of Schleswig and Holstein beneath the central helmet and crown. The date 16ZZ appears divided across the field flanking the helmet, with the motto legend VIRTUT: GLORIA . MERCES (Glory is the reward of virtue) inscribed in Latin capitals around the periphery within beaded borders. |
