Obverse description Half-length armored effigy of Friedrich III facing slightly right, holding a sword raised over his right shoulder and an orb in his left hand. The figure is depicted in full plate armor with elaborate detailing. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy bearing the elector's titles. The portrait is rendered in the mannered Renaissance style typical of Rhenish Palatinate coinage of the mid-sixteenth century.

Reverse description Central composition featuring three heraldic shields of arms — those of the Palatinate, Bavaria, and the imperial office — arranged beneath an elaborate crested helm surmounted by a lion. The shields are framed by ornate acanthus mantling in high relief, with the date 1567 placed in the lower field between the two flanking shields. The circular German-language devotional legend HERR. NACH. DEINEM. WILLEN. runs along the outer border within a beaded inner circle, as visible on the coin.
