Obverse description Draped bust of Frederick II (Frederick the Great) facing right, wearing a cuirass with elaborate lace cravat and a flowing wig with curled locks falling over the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque court style. The circumferential legend FRIDERICVS BORVSSORVM REX arcs around the upper field, separated from the milled border by a fine rim. The lower field is occupied by the voluminous drapery of the royal mantle.

Reverse description The Prussian eagle displayed, facing left with wings spread, perched amid elaborate Baroque military trophies including cannons, flags, drums, and a crowned cartouche with the royal cipher, all rendered in bold relief. The date is divided in the lower exergue on either side of the Breslau mint mark 'B', flanked by ornate scrollwork. The arc legend EIN REICHS THALER runs along the upper periphery within the milled border, denoting the denomination.
