| Obverse description | Draped bust of Frederick II (Frederick the Great) facing right, wearing a cuirass with elaborate lace cravat and a flowing wig with curled locks falling over the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque court style. The circumferential legend FRIDERICVS BORVSSORVM REX arcs around the upper field, separated from the milled border by a fine rim. The lower field is occupied by the voluminous drapery of the royal mantle. |
