Obverse description Draped bust of Elector Frederick Augustus III facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed wavy hair and elaborate robes adorned with decorative clasp and ermine-trimmed mantle. The effigy is rendered in a neoclassical style characteristic of late 18th-century Saxon coinage. The circular Latin legend reads FRID·AVGVST·D·G·DVX SAX·ELECTOR, distributed around the periphery of the field. A dentilated border frames the entire design.
