Reverse description Central field displays the crowned Saxon coat of arms — the barry of ten or and sable with a crancelin (rautenkranz) in bend — set within an ornate cartouche and flanked by two crossed Electoral swords, all surrounded by an elaborate wreath of laurel and oak branches tied at the base. The mint-master's initials E.D.C. appear in the lower exergual area above the fineness statement X EINE FEINE MARCK (ten to the fine mark) and the date 1765. The circular legend ZUR BELOHNUNG DES FLEISES (For the reward of diligence) runs around the upper and lateral periphery, indicating this piece was issued as a meritorious award or prize thaler.
