| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of Frederick August II, King of Saxony, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curling hair. The portrait occupies the central field in a classical neoclassical style, with the truncation of the neck visible at the lower portion. A continuous circular legend surrounds the effigy, reading FRIEDRICH AUGUST V.G.G. KOENIG V. SACHSEN, separated by the mint mark at the base. The coin is bordered by a fine inner beaded rim. |
