Reverse description The reverse presents two allegorical kneeling figures facing each other in symmetrical composition: at left, a figure draped in ermine-trimmed robes beneath a royal crown with orb and scepter, representing Frederick August as King of Poland; at right, a similarly draped figure beneath an electoral bonnet with sword and scepter, representing him as Elector of Saxony. Between them in the lower field rests a large laurel-wreathed cartouche inscribed with the vicariate legend. The date MDCCXI appears divided across the lower field flanking the cartouche, with the mintmaster's initials I.L.H. below at left. The inscriptions FRID: AUG: REX and ELECTOR appear in the upper field identifying the two roles.
