| Reverse description | A large multi-quartered coat of arms, consisting of numerous heraldic fields bearing eagles, lions, and other devices, surmounted by three ornate crowns and topped by a displayed eagle as a crest, all supported by elaborate baroque scrollwork mantling on either side. The shield occupies the majority of the field and is rendered in fine detail characteristic of early seventeenth-century German die-cutting. The surrounding legend in Latin, divided between both sides of the field, comprises an extensive series of abbreviated territorial titles of the Margraves of Brandenburg. |
