| Reverse description | The quartered heraldic shield of the Prince-Bishop, combining the arms of the Bishopric of Gurk with those of the Salm-Reifferscheid family, displayed on an oval escutcheon beneath a princely crown flanked by crossed sword and crozier. The shield is draped with an elaborate episcopal mantle adorned with tasseled cords at either side, and a star-shaped decoration or Order badge appears below the escutcheon at the base. The two-part devotional legend, reading IN TE DOMINE on the right and SPERAVI with the date 1801 on the left, is distributed along the inner border on both sides of the composition. |
