Obverse description Central image of the Madonna and Child, with the Virgin holding a sceptre, set above an archiepiscopal hat and the quartered family arms of Franz Anton von Harrach. The composition is rendered in baroque style typical of the Salzburg mint of the early eighteenth century. The encircling legend in Latin identifies the issuer as Archbishop and Prince of Salzburg and Apostolic Legate of the Holy See.
