| Obverse description | Draped bust of Francis Xaver, Count of Montfort, facing right, depicted in elaborate period dress with lace cravat and ornate armour, his hair dressed and curled in the fashion of the mid-18th century. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the drapery and facial features. The Latin legend FRANC:XAV:COM:DE MONTFORT curves around the upper and right periphery of the coin, separated by the bust truncation at the lower field. The inner border is plain, and the outer rim carries a fine milled edge. |

| Reverse description | Ornate crowned coat of arms of the County of Montfort, surmounted by a bishop's mitre with lappets and flanked on either side by elaborately draped ceremonial standards or processional staffs with tasselled banners. The quartered shield displays the Montfort arms and is set centrally in the field. The date 17 59 is divided and placed in the lower field on either side of the shield's base. The composition is symmetrical and richly detailed, executed in the Baroque heraldic tradition. |
