| Obverse description | Facing busts of Saints Peter and Paul positioned opposite one another at the center of the field, the surrounding Latin legend interrupted at four points by small heraldic shields of arms. The design reflects the devotional iconography typical of ecclesiastical coinage of the mid-sixteenth century, with the apostolic patrons of the Bishopric of Münster rendered in a stylized hammered manner. |
