Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Ferdinand William Eusebius, Prince of Schwarzenberg, facing right, wearing a full flowing allonge wig typical of the late 17th-century Baroque style and elaborate cuirass with decorative gorget and mantle visible below. The effigy occupies the majority of the coin's field and is rendered in high relief with fine detail. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading from upper right and continuing around the full perimeter.

Reverse description Central crowned coat of arms of the Principality of Schwarzenberg, displayed on an ornate shield, with the collar and pendant of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspended below. The princely crown surmounts the shield at the top, flanking and dividing the split date 16-97. A circular Latin legend surrounds the entire composition, identifying the Gimborn mint and the nature of the coinage.
