| Obverse description | Central ornate oval shield bearing the quartered coat of arms of Prince-Elector Ferdinand of Bavaria, surmounted by an electoral princely crown. A crosier and sword are placed saltirewise behind the shield, denoting the bishop's dual ecclesiastical and secular authority. The armorial composition is rendered in high relief with elaborate baroque decorative mantling framing the escutcheon. The circumferential legend in Latin runs along the outer border of the coin. |

| Reverse description | Full-length frontal figure of Saint Paul the Apostle, depicted nimbed and robed, his gaze directed to the left. In his raised right hand he holds a sword, the instrument of his martyrdom, while his left hand supports a closed book, representing the Epistles. The saint stands in a commanding, hieratic posture typical of ecclesiastical coinage of the period. The date appears integrated within the circumferential legend, which identifies Paul as the patron saint of Münster. |
