背面描述 Crowned composite heraldic shield bearing the quartered arms of the Habsburg territories, with a small escutcheon of Styria (a white panther on green) superimposed at the centre top. The collar and pendant of the Order of the Golden Fleece hang below the shield. The crown above the arms divides the four digits of the date 1641 at upper left and right. A circular Latin legend surrounds the entire composition, commencing at 12 o'clock.

附加信息

Ferdinand III inherited the Thirty Years' War from his father and spent the bulk of his reign trying to end it — the Peace of Westphalia finally came in 1648, seven years after this piece was struck. Graz served as the administrative heart of Inner Austria, and its mint operated under sustained pressure throughout the war years to supply silver coinage for military expenditure, imperial obligations, and the increasingly strained Habsburg treasury.

Herinek 396 is among the more frequently encountered Graz thalers of this reign, though quality varies sharply due to inconsistent planchet preparation during the early 1640s.
