| Reverse description | Large, elaborate quartered coat of arms of the Habsburg dominions, surmounted by an imperial crown and supported by decorative foliate cartouche work. The shield displays multiple heraldic quarters incorporating the arms of Austria, Burgundy, Bohemia, Hungary, Styria, Tyrol, and other hereditary territories, rendered in fine detail consistent with the engraving tradition of the Graz Mint. A circular Latin legend surrounds the shield, reading ARCHI AVST DVX BVRG STYRIÆ ETC, denoting Ferdinand III's titles as Archduke of Austria, Duke of Burgundy, and Duke of Styria. The composition is dense and heraldically precise, reflecting the sophisticated die-cutting standards of the mid-seventeenth century Styrian mint. |
