| 背面描述 | Centrally placed crowned composite arms incorporating the escutcheon of Upper Alsace, surrounded by the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Two smaller subsidiary shields flank the central composition, with the Habsburg arms at left and the arms of Ferrette (Pfirt) at right. The Latin legend, divided into four segments by the flanking shields, encircles the heraldic display and references Ferdinand's titles as Duke of Burgundy, Landgrave of Alsace, and Count of Pfirt. |

Ferdinand II ruled Tyrol as an archduke from 1564 until his death in 1595, governing the Further Austrian territories — which included the Landgraviate of Upper Alsace — as a largely separate administration from the main Habsburg court in Vienna. His long tenure produced a consistent taler coinage struck across multiple years, with the 1584 start date reflecting a recoinage or administrative reorganization of the Further Austrian mint output rather than a new reign. The Ensisheim mint served as the primary striking facility for this region.
