Obverse description Crowned and armored bust of Emperor Ferdinand II facing right, wearing an elaborate imperial crown and a ruffled lace collar over richly draped armor. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the characteristic early seventeenth-century Habsburg style, with detailed chasing of the breastplate, pauldrons, and decorative mantle. The circular Latin legend surrounding the effigy reads FERDINANDVS II D G ROM IMP S A GER HVN ET BO REX, with the date 1621 incorporated into the field near the crown. The coin's hammered flan shows the characteristic irregular surface texture associated with hand-struck coinage of the period.
