Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Emperor Ferdinand II facing right, wearing an elaborate crown and a wide ruffled lace collar. The emperor is depicted in high-relief with fine detailing on the armor, mantle, and imperial regalia. The date 1621 appears divided in the upper field flanking the crown. The circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait within a beaded inner border: FERDINANDVS II D G RO IM S A G H BO REX.

Reverse description Crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed at center, with wings spread and each head facing outward, supporting a scepter and orb in its talons. A large quartered shield of arms is superimposed on the eagle's breast, bearing the complex hereditary arms of the Habsburg dynasty including the arms of Austria, Burgundy, Castile, Leon, and other territories. The imperial crown surmounts the eagle above. The circular Latin legend reads ARCHI AVSTRIAE ET CARINTHIAE DVX BVRG ZC, contained within a beaded inner border.
